Emma Tattenbaum-Fine is a comedic writer/actor/director who has worked as a staff writer for Almost Genius on truTV, as well as New York Theatre Workshop’s gala script writer for hosts Heidi Schreck (Broadway’s “What the Constitution Means to Me”) and Jeremy O. Harris (“Slave Play” and “Daddy”). She’s written sketch comedy commercials for Secret Deodorant/Refinery29 and Intuit. She has also written copy for Stun Creative/Bravo TV and worked with Mustache Agency/Netflix; strategizing and scripting up a storm for the marketing behind women-led comedy films and specials.

Emma can be seen on Netflix in the acclaimed series “Explained” (Episode 16: The Female Orgasm) and has written for and hosted HQ Trivia live in front of millions of players internationally. She was named a 2016 Comedy CentralComic to Watch” and a finalist in the truTV “Comedy Breakout” competition at the 2017 New York Television Festival for her and Ariana Seigel’s feminist dating gameshow, Ladies’ Choice.

Emma has collaborated with Al Sharpton, Reggie Watts, Aparna Nancherla, and Amy Poehler’s “Smart Girls at the Party”: writing for and then appearing in absurd sketches with them. In spring 2019, Emma played Logainne Schwartzandgrubenniere in ACT of CT’s Equity production of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” — writing topical monologues and updated jokes for the show. She returned to ACT of CT the following year, appearing in Stephen Schwartz and Dan Levine’s newly imagined production of Godspell.
